To use Aclovate Cream, follow the directions provided by your doctor or pharmacist. Aclovate Cream is a prescription medicine that should only be used on the skin. The cream is generally applied to the affected area(s) two to three times daily or as directed by your healthcare provider. Before applying the cream, the affected area should be washed and dried thoroughly.
When applying Aclovate Cream near the eyes, avoid getting it in the eyes because this may worsen or cause glaucoma. Also, avoid getting this medication in the eyes, nose, or mouth. If you get the medication in these areas, rinse with plenty of water. Use the cream only for the condition for which it was prescribed. Do not use it on a child for longer than 3 weeks in a row unless directed to do so by the doctor.
Do not use more of the cream than directed by your healthcare provider, and do not use it for a longer period than recommended. Do not bandage, cover, or wrap the area unless directed to do so by your doctor. If you experience any side effects or your symptoms do not improve, you should contact your healthcare provider.
