Metrogel Vaginal is a prescription medication used to treat bacterial vaginosis symptoms. It contains metronidazole, an antibiotic that stops the growth of certain bacteria. The active ingredient in Metrogel Vaginal is metronidazole, an antibiotic that works by stopping the growth of certain bacteria. It is used by inserting the full contents of an applicator daily for five consecutive days.
