Use and Dosage

To use the Ascensia Contour Next Strips, follow these steps:

1. Wash your hands with soap and warm water, then dry them thoroughly.
2. Turn on the Contour Next meter by pressing and holding the button until the start-up test screen appears.
3. Insert a Contour Next test strip into the meter's test strip port with the grey end facing up and the meter will turn on.
4. When the Apply Blood screen appears, use a lancing device to prick the side of your fingertip, then touch and hold the edge of the yellow window on the test strip to the drop of blood until the meter beeps, indicating that it has enough blood.
5. Wait a few seconds for the meter to analyze the blood sample and display your blood glucose level. The result will be displayed on the meter's screen.
6. Remove the test strip and turn off the meter by holding down the button until the screen goes blank.
