Indications

Children's Motrin in berry flavor is a pain reliever and fever reducer medicine designed for children between the ages of 2 and 11. It can be indicated to relieve pain from various conditions such as headache, dental pain, menstrual cramps, muscle aches, or arthritis. It is also used to reduce fever and to relieve minor aches and pain due to the common cold or flu.

Motrin contains the active ingredient ibuprofen. Ibuprofen is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). It works by reducing the production of chemicals in the body that cause pain, inflammation, and fever. When taken as directed, the medicine can provide quick and effective relief for children who are experiencing pain or fever.

Use and Dosage

Motrin Children's Berry is available in oral suspension, taken by mouth with or without food. Take it every 6 to 8 hours, or as necessary. Before taking each dose, the bottle should be shaken well.

To ensure accurate dosing, use a special measuring spoon or device. Using a regular household spoon may result in incorrect dosing. If the medication causes stomach upset, it may be taken with food, milk, or an antacid.

Take it exactly as prescribed by your doctor. If you miss a dose, take it as soon as possible and continue with your regular schedule. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule. Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one. If you are not sure what to do after missing a dose, contact your doctor or pharmacist for advice.
