Indications

Inhibace Plus is a prescription medication used to treat hypertension when other treatments have failed to effectively control blood pressure levels. It is a combination drug containing two active ingredients: cilazapril and hydrochlorothiazide.

Cilazapril belongs to a class of medications known as angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors, which are used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure) and heart failure. Hydrochlorothiazide is a diuretic, which means it helps the body get rid of excess water by increasing the amount of urine produced.

Use and Dosage

Inhibace Plus should be taken orally in tablet form and can be taken with or without food once or twice daily, or as prescribed by a doctor. Take the medication at least 4 hours before bedtime to avoid the need to wake up to urinate. If taking cholestyramine or colestipol, take cilazapril/hydrochlorothiazide at least 4 hours before or after either of those drugs.

The dosage of Inhibace Plus will depend on individual medical condition and response to therapy. To ensure maximum efficacy, take Inhibace Plus regularly at the same time(s) each day, even if feeling well, as high blood pressure may not produce noticeable symptoms. It may take several weeks for the drug to take full effect. If you have any questions about dosing, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.

Take Inhibace Plus exactly as prescribed by your doctor. If you miss a dose, take it as soon as possible and continue with your regular schedule. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule. Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one. If you are not sure what to do after missing a dose, contact your doctor or pharmacist for advice.
