Celluvisc is a non-prescription eye drop product that contains carboxymethylcellulose (CMC) as the active ingredient. CMC is a compound used as an ophthalmic lubricant to alleviate symptoms of dry eye syndrome by increasing the viscosity of tears and providing longer-lasting lubrication for the eyes.

Celluvisc Ophthalmic is a preservative-free artificial tear that provides long-lasting relief and protection for dry eyes both day and night. It comes in an ophthalmic formula and is conveniently packaged in single-use vials for easy use.

Usually, drops may be used as often as needed. Ointments are usually used 1 to 2 times daily as needed. If using an ointment once a day, it may be best to use it at bedtime.

To use Refresh Celluvisc Ophthalmic, follow these general guidelines:

  1. Wash your hands thoroughly before using the eye drops.
  2. Tilt your head back and pull your lower eyelid down slightly to create a small pocket.
  3. Hold the dropper directly above the eye and place the prescribed number of drops inside the lower eyelid.
  4. Blink several times to distribute the eye drops inside the eye (do not blink excessively).
  5. Repeat these steps for the other eye, if required.
  6. Recap the eye drop bottle and store it at room temperature.
