Indications

Advil Liqui-Gels is over-the-counter medication indicated for temporary relief of minor aches and pains due to headache, backache, menstrual cramps, and more. It contains ibuprofen and Ibuprofen is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). It works by blocking the body's production of certain chemical messengers that cause pain, inflammation, and fever.

Ibuprofen can be used commonly used to reduce fever and relieve pain or inflammation caused by various conditions such as headache, toothache, back pain, menstrual cramps, and arthritis. It can be used for relieving pain, reducing fever, and alleviating inflammation.

Uses and Dosage

Advil Liqui-Gels are a type of gel capsule medication to be used orally with a full glass of water (8 ounces/240 milliliters) unless otherwise directed by a doctor. To reduce the risk of stomach bleeding and other side effects, take the lowest effective dose for the shortest possible time. Do not lie down for at least 10 minutes after taking this medication, and if you experience stomach upset, taking Advil Liqui-Gels with food, milk, or an antacid may help. Do not increase the dose or take this medication more often than directed by your doctor or the package label.

For adults and children 12 years and over, the recommended smallest effective dose of Advil Liqui-Gels capsules is to take one capsule every 4 to 6 hours while symptoms persist. If pain or fever does not respond to one capsule, two capsules may be used, but do not exceed six capsules in 24 hours unless directed by a doctor. For children under 12 years old, consult with a doctor before using Advil Liqui-Gels.
