Betamethasone Valerate Lotion should be applied to the affected area(s) of the skin 1-2 times a day or as directed by your healthcare provider. It should be applied thinly and evenly and should not be used for more than 2 weeks at a time.
To use Betamethasone Valerate Lotion, first wash and dry your hands and the affected skin area. Apply a thin layer of the lotion to the affected area once or twice daily or as directed by your healthcare provider. Rub the lotion into the skin gently and thoroughly. Do not apply the medication to open wounds or areas of the skin that are infected or oozing. If you have any concerns about the proper use of the lotion, talk to your healthcare provider.
Betamethasone Valerate Lotion should not be applied to open wounds or areas of the skin that are infected or oozing. If you have any concerns about the safety of using the lotion on a particular area of skin, talk to your healthcare provider.
If you miss a dose of Betamethasone Valerate Lotion, apply it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and resume your regular dosing schedule. Do not apply extra medication to make up for a missed dose.
