Close your eye gently for one to two minutes. Do not blink repeatedly or rub your eye.
Place a finger over the inner corner of your closed eye, near the nose, and press gently for about one minute. This reduces the amount of medication that drains into the nose and throat and may lower the risk of side effects.
Wipe away any excess liquid from the skin with a clean tissue.
Replace the bottle cap immediately after use. Do not rinse or wipe the dropper tip.
Wait at least 15 minutes after applying Alphagan before putting soft contact lenses back in.
Do not wear contact lenses when your eyes are red, painful, irritated, or infected unless your eye-care provider says it is safe.
