Uses and Dosage

Caution

- Domperidone is contraindicated in patients with moderate or severe liver impairment and should be used with caution in patients with mild liver impairment.
- Domperidone can increase prolactin levels, which can lead to breast enlargement, milk production, and menstrual irregularities in both men and women. Use with caution in patients with a history of pituitary gland disorders.
- Domperidone may interact with other medications, such as those that affect the enzymes responsible for metabolizing domperidone or those that prolong the QT interval. Be sure to talk to your healthcare provider about all the medications you are taking before starting domperidone.
