Indications

Mirvaso Gel is a topical medication used to treat persistent facial redness associated with rosacea in adults. It contains the active ingredient brimonidine, which is an alpha-adrenergic agonist that works by narrowing blood vessels in the skin to reduce redness.

Mirvaso Gel is also used for the topical treatment of persistent facial erythema in adults.

Use and Dosage

Mirvaso Gel should only be applied to the skin. Clean and dry the affected area before applying the medication. The affected area should be cleaned and dried before applying the medication. It should be applied once a day to affected areas such as the forehead, chin, nose, and each cheek, spreading a thin layer of the medication as directed by a doctor.

To get the best results, Mirvaso Gel should be used regularly at around the same time each day. Doctors may initially prescribe a smaller amount, gradually increasing the dose to reduce the risk of side effects.

Patients should inform their doctor if their condition does not improve or worsens. Mirvaso Gel should be kept in a safe place to prevent accidental use or misuse, particularly by children who may experience serious side effects if the medication is ingested. If a child ingests Mirvaso Gel, medical assistance should be sought immediately.
