Indications
Beconase AQ Nasal Spray is a medication used for the relief of symptoms caused by seasonal or perennial allergic and nonallergic (vasomotor) rhinitis.
Beconase contains beclomethasone dipropionate, which is a corticosteroid and is used to prevent and treat symptoms such as congestion, sneezing, and runny nose. It is available as a metered-dose nasal spray solution, with each spray containing 50 mcg of the active ingredient.
Use and Dosage
Beconase AQ Nasal Spray should be used exactly as directed by your healthcare provider. This typically involves spraying one or two sprays into each nostril twice daily.
To use Beconase AQ Nasal as directed on the label, shake the bottle well before each use. Before first use, prime the spray by pumping 6 times or until a fine mist appears. Blow your nose gently before using the spray. Close one nostril by pressing it with your finger. Tilt your head forward slightly and insert the spray nozzle into the other nostril. Point the nozzle away from the center of the nose. While breathing in through your nose, press down on the spray nozzle once to deliver the prescribed number of sprays. Breathe out through your mouth. Repeat these steps in the other nostril. Wipe the nozzle with a clean tissue and replace the cap. Do not blow your nose for at least 15 minutes after using the spray. Use Beconase AQ Nasal regularly as prescribed by your healthcare provider.
You should not exceed the recommended dosage unless otherwise instructed by your healthcare provider.

- Signs of adrenal insufficiency may occur after replacing a systemic corticosteroid with Beconase AQ Nasal Spray.
