The recommended starting dose of AVAPRO to control blood pressure is 150 mg taken once daily. Depending on the patient’s response to the medication, the dosage may be increased up to a maximum of 300 mg taken once daily as needed. In cases where additional control of blood pressure is desired, an additional antihypertensive drug may be added, or the dosage of AVAPRO may be increased to 100 mg once daily.
For patients with Nephropathy caused by Type 2 Diabetes, the recommended dose of Avapro is 300 mg taken once daily. However, strictly follow the instructions of your doctor when taking this medication, as higher doses than the recommended maximum may cause adverse effects.
