Vivelle-DOT (active ingredient: estradiol hemihydrate) is a prescription medication indicated for the following:

Menopausal Symptoms: Vivelle-DOT is used for the treatment of moderate to severe vasomotor symptoms (such as hot flashes) and vulvar/vaginal atrophy due to menopause.
Hormone Replacement Therapy: It is indicated for use in hormone replacement therapy (HRT) to help manage symptoms associated with estrogen deficiency in postmenopausal women.

Vivelle-DOT belongs to a class of drugs known as estrogen replacement therapies, which help to restore estrogen levels in the body and alleviate menopausal symptoms.

Vivelle-Dot Patch is applied to the lower stomach or upper buttock area twice a week on the same days each week. The dosage and frequency of application depend on the severity of symptoms and other patient factors and should be determined by a healthcare professional.

Before applying the patch, make sure that the skin is clean, dry, and free from any lotion or cream. Remove the patch from its packaging and peel off the protective liner to expose the adhesive side.
