Indications
Arcapta Neohaler is a prescription medication used to treat chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). It contains the active ingredient indacaterol and is administered via inhalation. Individuals with asthma who use long-acting inhaled beta-agonists, such as indacaterol, without also using an inhaled corticosteroid may have an increased risk of serious, and sometimes fatal, breathing problems.
Use and Dosage
Arcapta Neohaler is a medication that comes in capsule form. It should not be swallowed. To use it, inhale the contents of the capsule through the mouth using the inhaler device, as directed by your doctor. It should be taken once a day, usually with one capsule. Use the special inhaler device that comes with the medication and discard the old inhaler device each time you refill your prescription. Do not use a spacer device with the inhaler.
To use the medication, wash and dry your hands before touching the capsules. Do not open the capsule until you are ready to use it. Inhale the contents of the capsule as directed to ensure you get the full dose of the medication. Inhale rapidly and deeply through the mouthpiece when using this drug. Do not exhale into the inhaler.
If you are taking other inhalers at the same time, wait at least 1 minute between the use of each medication.
