Xopenex

Xopenex is used to treat the narrowing of airways caused by asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. It works by relaxing the tightened muscles around your airway passages and relieves symptoms like coughing, sneezing, chest tightening, and shortness of breath to improve breathing.

This medication is not approved for use by children younger than 6 years of age. Hypersensitivity reactions may occur after consuming Xopenex.

Inform your doctor if you

  • have heart disease;
  • have an irregular heartbeat, or high blood pressure;
  • have a seizure disorder;
  • have diabetes;
  • have an overactive thyroid;
  • are pregnant or plan to become pregnant or breast feeding;
  • are allergic to this or similar medicines, or to any ingredient present in this medicine.

Xopenex Side Effects

Serious: An allergic reaction:difficulty breathing, closing of your throat, swelling of your lips, tongue, or face; hives; worsening of respiratory symptoms, chest pain or irregular heartbeats.

Other: Dizziness, tremor or nervousness, anxiety, headache, cough or runny nose, upset stomach, leg cramps.
