Indications

Betoptic S is a medication used to treat high pressure inside the eye due to glaucoma or other eye diseases. The active ingredient in Betoptic S is betaxolol hydrochloride, which belongs to a group of medications called beta-blockers. Betoptic S works by reducing the amount of fluid produced in the eye, thereby decreasing the pressure inside the eye.

Use and Dosage

Betoptic S Eyedrops is one drop in the affected eye(s) two times each day.

To use Betoptic S Eyedrops, follow the dosing instructions provided by your doctor:

1. Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water.
2. Shake the bottle well before using.
3. Tilt your head back and pull down your lower eyelid to create a small pocket.
4. Hold the bottle above the affected eye and gently squeeze one drop into the pocket without touching the eye or eyelid.
5. Close your eye and gently press your finger against the inner corner for 1-2 minutes to prevent the medication from draining out of the eye.
6. If you need to use drops in both eyes, repeat these steps for the other eye.

Do not touch the tip of the bottle to any surface, including your eye or fingers, to avoid contamination. Also, wait at least 10 minutes before using other eye medications.

Use Betoptic S Eyedrops exactly as prescribed by your doctor. If you miss a dose, instill it as soon as possible and continue with your regular schedule. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule. Do not instill a double dose to make up for a missed one.
